Baby Dedication Scrapbook Page

Ideas for a Baby Dedication Scrapbook Page

Babies are one of the best subjects for scrapbooks album . Their angelic innocence just seems to shine through every photo, which makes for many scrapbooking ideas ranging from the cute,Poems on child dedication to the whimsical.

And one of the more important milestones worthy to deserve its own place through a baby dedication scrapbook page is, of course, the baby's christening and/or dedication.

Here are a few free creative ideas to get you started on adding one more page to your precious bundle of joy's growing-up scrapbook layout .

Ask for Quotes

Your baby is loved by siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and godparents. As such, it is only logical that they may want to place a line or two of their thoughts about your baby. Think of it as the fairy godmothers saying their wishes for the fairy-tale prince or princess.

You can let your baby's well-wishers write directly on the baby dedication scrapbook page. Just make sure that you have clear instructions on the type of pen to be used, the areas allowed for writing, the space allocated for each one, and the number of lines permitted. You want the page to look neat despite the variety of penmanship. You may also just collect their thoughts, print it out on the computer and paste them into the page. You can then let the persons sign their names.

Post Quirky Pictures

You should not limit yourself to formal poses in the photos. After all, your baby's dedication is a joyful occasion and the photos in your baby dedication page should reflect this fact. For example, instead of a picture-perfect group shot made in the photographer's shop, why not place your baby's candid shot along with his siblings? You can accomplish this by taking photos while they are at play after the ceremony. You will realize later in that, indeed, candid shots are better than formal poses to capture baby's joyful innocence and zest for life.

Include the Siblings, Maybe Even the Pet

Let's face it. When new baby comes along, the siblings as well as the beloved pet can be relegated to the sidelines of the spotlight. There might be sibling rivalry as a result although your loyal pets will probably understand. And so to avoid hurt feelings all around, it is often a good idea to include the siblings, maybe even the pet, into the baby dedication scrapbook page.

You can take pictures of the baby with his/her siblings before, during and after the dedication ceremony. Besides, it does speak volumes about family values when you do.

Make a Family Tree

If the page is big enough, you can also include a little family tree on the side. This is a nice touch to reflect the continuity of the family line although it must be emphasized that it should not be too big so as to drown out the main purpose of the scrapbook page in the first place.

Maybe you can make it into a Bible-like family tree like: Joe begot Jim who married Betty and together they had son named Jamie.

Truly, when you put your heart and soul to it, your baby dedication scrapbook page can be evocative of your baby's beginning towards a healthy spiritual life.
