Materials needed:

* 5 x 7 photos

* 12 x 8 colored scrapbook paper of your choice color

We suggest celery green, yellow plaid, or green stripe. Using a combination of patterns by cutting strips of the striped paper and pasting it to the plaid would be even more eye-catching!

* Hole punch, fine tip pen, stickers, cutting mat, alphabet rubber stamps, and inkpad

* Wet or dry adhesives such as transparent tape or liquid glue

* Embellishment suggestions include flower tags, green-and-white lettering, silver stars, and wooden block shaped stickers or stamped with ABCs fashioned into photo frames, baby footprint, and gingham ribbon.

Directions:

* Handwrite or glue letters of the title near the top of the page. Below, paste photos and embellishments. Journaling a poem or quote at the bottom of the page for baby adds a nice touch.

* Glue smaller photos onto flower designed stencils or stickers. Punch two holes near the top and tie a piece of gingham ribbon into a bow.

Heritage Theme

A good idea for baby scrapbook albums is using a heritage theme. For example if the baby's ancestry is Scottish or Irish, you could use a Celtic theme. Create a background scrapbook page with the ancestral clan plaid design. Use decorations including shamrock and Celtic knot symbol stickers. National symbols of the family heritage can adorn the page such as flags of the Mother country. Print Irish blessings or the appropriate country's sayings on the page with pictures of baby and other family members. Fashion your own Celtic knot made with ribbon or yarn and attach to the page.
