Creating the Perfect Baby Scrapbook Page Layout

baby scrapbook page ideas

When you are looking at your baby scrapbook page layout, is frequently one of the first things on your mind.

You'll find that you have all the material and the stickers that you need to get started, and you'll soon see that there are plenty of different things you can do, but when it comes to your baby scrapbook page layout, you might find yourself a little bit lost and confused.

It's all right, though. You have a reason to be concerned. All the great material in the world can look awful if placed incorrectly on the page, so being concerned about this can make a lot of sense. Luckily finding a good baby scrapbook page layouts is quite easy, and there are plenty of things to get you started.

If you are doing a freehand page layout, that is, one where every page is different, you'll find that it is still important to have the pages well-cantered. Having a page that is askew, where the letters are sloping off to the left or the right is one way that a scrapbook will end up looking ineffective or sloppy.

One way around this is to find a pencil that you know will erase well off of the page; you can test it by making a tiny mark on a back page and seeing if it comes off cleanly. Then use a ruler and mark out the center point on the edge of each page with a small line. Do the same with the very center of the page. If you need to write, use the ruler to pencil in guidelines. This can go a long way towards giving your baby scrapbook layout a very professional edge.

Another thing you can do is find something with a shape you can trace, like a paper cut-out of a bell or a heart. When you have the general shape of the object traced on the paper, only rule the areas inside the object and make sure that your text stays on the inside. This is a great way to add some visual variety to your page layout, and you can trim the border of the page and the edge of the traced object as well.

When you are thinking about a baby scrapbook page layout, remember that one of the first things that you will do is think about a theme to tie everything together. While of course the scrapbook will be about the baby, you should also think about scrapbook embellishments and page trimmings that will tie it all together.

Many scrapbooks will come with something that will tie the pages together printed right on it but frequently they are too faint to really come across. Think about creating a little paper decoration that you can put on every page, or even one made out of cloth or ribbon.

As you can see, there are many different things that you can find when it comes to looking for a great baby scrapbook page layout, so make sure that you find the one that is perfect for you!
