Baby Scrapbook Paper
Baby Scrapbook Paper is similar to interior design, color palettes play a huge role in scrapbooking. Keeping this in mind, the ultimate presentation of a scrapbook comes mostly from the design of the colors and the flow of the page. So, how can you use baby scrapbook papers to give your pages that extra oomph?
That's easy! Try some of these tips.
Tip #1 - Use solids as an accent
When we think of babies, our minds usually steer towards every pastel available and we stay there. Unfortunately, this doesn't always do a lot for our scrapbook pages. To best compliment your other scrapbook papers (mentioned below), you need to pick two different solid colors that can serve as accents on your page. For example, use one color as a background for all of your pictures and then use another for embellishment backdrops or journal entries. Trying to mix too many solids will make the page look unfinished.
Tip #2 - Patterns are perfect
For some of us, picking a pattern is extremely simple and for others it's a chore. But, what you have to remember about using them is that bold is beautiful and that boring papers won't make your book look the way you want it to. With this said, look for patterned paper that will compliment the theme of your pages. Then, use those papers as the page background. If you're doing a bath time page, it is totally okay to put rubber ducky paper in the background and use yellow and blue as accents. The brightness of the paper and the photos will stand out for sure!
Tip #3 - Tackle themes and simplify them
One of the most important things that you have to remember is that a scrapbook page is meant to be viewed over and over. If the elements on the sheet are too busy and random, looking at it becomes difficult. This means that you have to use your scrapbooking papers in a minimalist way so you don't drown the page with too much stuff.
To do this, pick a few sheets of paper that compliment each other. Try to find a couple of different solid colors and no more than two patterns. If you mix too many different kinds of paper, you'll have a hard time getting a cohesive look on the page. Slim it down and you'll surely be satisfied with the result.
Using baby scrapbook papers will make your next project shine. Just use caution with your color palette and the pages will come out with style and excitement.
