* Fabric

* Padding

Directions

* Cut out a piece of padding the identical size as the opened scrapbook

* Hot glue the padding to the outside of the scrapbook

* Open the scrapbook and lay the outside of it on the inside of the chosen fabric. Cut fabric about an inch away from the book. If it helps, first trace an outline of the scrapbook onto the fabric before cutting it out.

* Then cut diagonal notches in the corners of the fabric. Fold the corners down and hot glue to the inside of the scrapbook. Continue gluing all the way down the inside edge of the fabric. Trim away any excess.

* To dress it up further, add lace around the outside edges of the scrapbook. Use a ribbon to bind the pages.

* Measure the inside flaps of the scrapbook from the outside edge to the spine. Cut out two pieces of poster board this size. Lay the cut poster board on the fabric and cut out a piece of fabric one inch larger in size than the poster board.

* Cut notches at the corner of the fabric and hot glue the fabric to the poster board. Glue the finished product to the inside covers of the scrapbook. This gives the inside flaps a clean finish.

* Add a photo frame to the front of the scrapbook using the poster board, fabric, and padding. Choose a theme that goes with the new baby's nursery such as Winnie the Pooh or Mickey Mouse. For example, you could frame the photo frame on the front with Mickey Mouse ears.

To make a photo frame:

*Cut a piece of poster board for the photo mat. Hot glue the padding and fabric to it. Leave enough material inside the frame so you can fold it back and glue in place.
