Scrapbooking Baby Book

creative scrapbooking

To make the treasures of your baby's life even more meaningful, you can make a scrapbooking baby book and add some uniqueness. To go this route, there are few elements that must be included in your scrapbooking baby book. Follow these tips to ensure that nothing is left out.

#1 - Pick a theme

Although your baby book scrapbook is really for you, other people will probably see.You will need to create a theme that will solidify the pages and layouts. Think about how the baby's room is decorated or things that interest you and your family. You can use these to select a theme. Common ones are related to cartoon characters, animals, alphabet, or simple colors.

#2 - Tell a story

Like most scrapbook projects, your baby scrapbook needs to have some flow. The easiest way to do this is by telling a story throughout the pages. Even if you're only doing a few pages at a time, you can still use a portion of the page to write a few lines of the ongoing story of the baby's first few months (years, etc.). You can choose to write a "once upon a time" type of story or make one up. It will make the book unique and give every viewer something to follow.

#3 - Use unique embellishments

Every craft store around will offer an unlimited number of items that will help add visual interest to your personalized baby book. But, whenever possible, try to add items that can't be found in a store. This will guarantee that your book is like no one else's. Your options include making paper out of the baby's foot or handprint and inserting locks of hair on the haircut pages. Also, you could use shower invitations and cards from friends and family as page decoration.

#4 - Stay organized

Chances are, this scrapbooking baby book will be a work in progress for quite some time. As events take place and the baby changes, more pages will be included and the book will grow. So, find yourself a large photo box and large Ziploc bags. As things take place, put all of the photos and associated items in one Ziploc bag and label (and date it) it with a marker. Place all of bags in the box and as you have time to work on your project, you can go to the dated bags and do your pages in order. It will help you use your time better and you'll have everything you need in one place. Nothing will be left out of your book! Make a plan and stay organized. With these tips, your scrapbooking baby book will be a bit hit!
